The Bauer Winter Championships are just around the corner and The Junior Prospects Hockey League and 4Vengeance Media are excited to announce a new way to catch all the action.
From December 5th-8th and 12th-15th, more than 1,300 athletes making up over 70 teams from four provinces will faceoff to see who will hoist the championship trophy, and you can watch games on Silent Ice TV with the new Tournament Pass. All games will be played in the Edmonton region, with both the Silent Ice Center and the Morinville Ice Gardens hosting games.
For just $15.99 (plus website fees and taxes) you will get every game Silent Ice TV will be broadcasting, which is more than 100 between the two championship events. Current Season Pass holders will also have access to all games with their yearly subscription.
“This is the perfect early Christmas present for your favourite Aunt and Uncle or your Grandparents,” stated JPHL Commissioner Richard Nault. “They might not have a season pass, but with this, they can watch as many games as they want during one of our most unique and entertaining events.”
Along with the Tournament Pass, the Bauer Winter Championships will be free for everyone to watch on both Sundays, where 4Vengeance Media expands the coverage to 11 cameras, replays and much more as winter is for the taking.
“Championship Sunday is one of our yearly highlights” explained Trevor Miller, 4Vengeance Media Director of Broadcast and Digital Media. “Giving the finalists that ‘big league’ feel is as much fun for us as it is for the players. We pull out all the stops production wise as well as providing video review for calls that need a second look.”
Along with the JPHL’s four divisions (14U, 15U, 17U, 18U) some of the top teams from the Hockey Super League’s 2012 and 2013 birth years will be competing from December 5th-8th. During the second weekend of the Winter Championships, the Female Super League will hit the ice in the 12U and 14U divisions.
“We are really excited to join the Winter Championships and compete on the big stage,” said FSL Commissioner Hayley Runnalls. “Our teams have played hard; we’ve witnessed some awesome competition during the first half of the season and I’m excited to see that continue.”
“This is going to be a blast for our clubs” stated HSL Commissioner Tyler Wowk - who also doubles as a Play-by-Play voice with 4Vengeance Media and will call some championship games. “The level of play, the broadcasts and the officiating all increase during this event and the HSL clubs are looking forward to the opportunity.”
The Bauer Winter Championships are quickly making their mark on the holiday season tournament scene and now scouts across the world have a chance to see the JPHL, FSL and HSL at it’s finest. With the number of international players growing in the JPHL this year, it means more people around the world will be watching the Bauer Winter Championships than ever before.
