JPHL 4 for SZN4 February 10

17U Calgary Stallions

Running Wild

The Stallions ran loose this weekend with a 3-1 mark that has pushed them into fourth place in the Prairies and only three points out of second place.

They opened the weekend with a 5-1 win against rival Calgary Rockies, where Matthew Tucker was brilliant making 45 saves, including 26 in the final two periods.

The Stallions outscored opponents 17-6 in the three wins, and lead the Titans HU by one point.

17U Coquitlam HC

Perfection!

A 4-0 weekend has Coquitlam over the .500 level and sitting second in the Pacific.

They took on four Alberta squads which helped them gain ground in their division.

Coquitlam had a little bit of everything from a 3-0 shut out to an 8-6 shoot out en route to the eight-point weekend.

Keenan Canales scored in every game with five goals and nine points on the weekend.

18U Okanagan HC

ODR Win

The first ever JPHL outdoor game was played at Sun Peaks, B.C. on Monday.

The iconic resort near Kamloops, B.C. hosted the game with puck drop just after 5:00 PM local time.

Okanagan HC slipped past Coquitlam HC 2-1 while outshooting Coquitlam 37-33.

Okanagan moves within eight points of Coquitlam for third place in the Pacific.

18U HC Edmonton

Top Spot

A 2-1 weekend, including a win over Power Rankings’ top ranked Bow Valley HC has HC Edmonton sitting in the top spot in the Prairies.

Edmonton exploded for three goals in just over eight minutes in the second period during a 7-3 victory on Friday.

Chase Harrington scored a goal in all three games this weekend and is now up to 20 on the season.

Edmonton’s only loss came to Bow Valley and their lead is just two points over Bow Valley.
